Was married to Jim Smoak from Landon and we divorced in 1989. I married Yogi Waarum, a 1960 graduate of Landon High School, in 1997. We have 6 granddaughters and all our chldren still live in Jacksonville. After our 3 children were born, I coached their swim team in Arlingwood, our neighborhood swim club. After that, I began coaching the Duval County Special Olympics Swim Team, starting with 6 swimmers and still coach now, with a count of 60 swimmers. I still love swimming and swam for the last couple of years in the Senior State Games (for "mature" swimmers) and was able to set a record and then break my own record in the 50 yard butterly. I was very proud of that! I love my family and between working full time and being with them, I don't have enough time in the day, as I am sure many of us feel that way. I still enjoy exercising and my husband, Yogi, thinks I am an exercise nut! I love my FSU Seminoles and enjoy football totally. We are also into NASCAR, as we have gone to several races in Daytona. I live down the street from where I grew up, so I still have wonderful memories of my childhood. I loved my high school years and remember them fondly.
Looking forward to seeing everyone next year!
