I'm very sorry to hear about Lonnie's passing. I have fond memories of Lonnie at Landon, and I know he will be missed by everyone who had a personal relationship with him, both during our days in school & in the years since then.
This list has gotten way too long. It makes one think a little more than usual. Lonnie Turner was a friend of mine both at Landon and for many years afterword. He was a Jax Fireman and a great softball pitcher. He always was friendly to everyone and had a smile on his face. Many good memories Lonnie. May you forever rest in piece.
All of you that have posted comments on Lonnie's passing are 'spot on". I would see him at the Avenues Mall and we would have lunch together and talk about all the great times we had at Landon, and we also talked about the Gators. He will truly be missed. Prays for his family.
Lonnie was a very sweet, kind, funny, good friend, and always had a kind word. I was very fortunate to have known him and his kindness. Lonnie was also a friend of my brother, Mike Molter, in the Jacksonville Fire Department. Prayers for his familly and all who loved him as they travel this most difficult road of grief.
RIP Lonnie my friend, after I came home from RVN we became closer friends through our competition in the Open League of Softball at Drew Park. Those were good times and you had a smile, a good word and respect for everyone. You were one of the real good ones. God Bless you and comfort your family. Gary

Sorry to see you go way too soon bro. The lights will be dimmer without you that's for sure.
